I have been a Christian since I was about 11 or 12 years old. I did not grow up in a Christian home. In fact, I am the only Christian in my family among my brothers, sisters and parents.
I grew up with two sisters and two brothers and of course our parents. We never had any long term pets as some of us had allergies (me for one). I do remember we had a couple of rabbits for a short while and a dog, but we always ended up having to give them away, or, as in the case of the rabbits, they died.
I have been happily married for over a quarter of a century and have two grown children, both in college. As my husband and I near our retirement years, I find myself off on long term medical leave with constant chronic migraine headaches. It is these headaches that are part of the reason for the birth of this blog.
